Obviously the Rat Rod scene is alive & well, some of those cars look quite funky.

This past weekend I went to a local car cruise show at a place called "The Beach Hut" out here on the Southshore of LI, NY by Cedar Beach by Ocean Parkway - some members here will know what & where I'm talking about. There was a car club called the "Rat Pack" and these hot rods tub cars were all faded paint, surface rust and actually the cars looked pretty cool! Some had straight headers off the sides with no mufflers or anything! and some had skull decorations at the lights and trim. All the guys looked like "greasers" from the 50's. The chicks were pretty hot looking too (talking about the cars, not the guys for you smart asses)! Did'nt have my camera cause I left it at work. It would have been very difficult to take pictures of the chicks with the wifey next to me anyway!    I'm hoping I get to finish my Charger and take it down there before Labor Day!

Hi Mike! Hey I saw you two weeks ago pulling into Cedar Beach (actually my wife saw you). I was inside next to the entrance booth buying a parking ticket for Cedar Beach when she came in running saying "Mike I just saw a black beautiful 68 Charger pulling into the parking lot and just pull out!" I said to her did it say "Mr. Angry" on the plate? and she said " yeah, how did you know?" I told her "I know that clunker, they probably did'nt let him in!"  By the time I came out, I saw your tail lights! There was that purple Dart with you, right?

Anyway, across the parkway at Cedar beach (before OBI - across from where you pulled in) there is a pavillion where Saturday nights they have live music for free and next to the pavillion there is a parking lot. At the entrance there is this blue - looks like a 60's GMC carryall in the Parkway shoulder heading east that says "Beach Hut" - Mike you have to take your Charger there Saturday night! Classic car cruise every Saturday night - good food and drinks (during the day, they have women volley ball games in the sand!). Last Saturday they had this guy that sounded like Billy Joel and sang all his songs. "Big Shot" was his bands name. I think he was on Broadway. There was this 70 Chally there - Sassy Green that was awesome! Few other Mopars too. Next time you head for the Sunday morning OBI "get together" keep an eye out for the Beach Hut truck on the southside heading east. Or just go there Saturday night. It's from 6:00 pm til 8:30 pm +/-. I wont be there this Saturday.

I like the 1st chick working the booth...  that being said that's probably her BF/hubbies business. 

Aside from that... seems like 75% of the chicks into rat rod shows are weird or just plain scary...   at least the ricer shows just have slutty chicks

im in agreement here! nead to get working on my 53 dodge pu rat rod again..that will be fun. i really like the faded out paint and rough edges of rat rods.

I totally agree with DKN.  You sure that show wasn't in Maine.  WTF?
And just so you know, the girl in green looks like a guy in drag and the skinny chick with the green shorts that ya'll said needs some front end work.. that's because it's a guy not in drag.  DOH!
Just kidding although not my taste in girls, looks like a fun time was had!!!
