Who makes the best epoxy primer?

Trying to decide on an epoxy primer for my bare metal parts.  Just trying to decide who makes the best.  The car will obviously be B5 blue when it's all said and done.  I will be using the same paint/primer brand for the whole process to avoid any chemical compatability issues.  Any suggestions?

Hi B5 Charger,I prefer PPG products,used them for a long time,over the years  many new primers,sealers and clears have been added.Their old DP epoxy primer was better than their new DPLF epoxy(LF...lead free),so I use their lower line called OMNI,that epoxy primer sprays out much better than the DPLF.For their reg primer I really love NCP 271,your car is the same as mine (B5),this color is very tricky to get right,(to get uniform and not see thru it),so a piece of advice,I sealed my car with PPG's Global line 8085 + 8090 (gray and dark blue mixed together equally to get to the medium blue that B5 is).Then I used PPG DBC basecoat followed by PPG 2021 clear.The mixing ratio of 2021 is 4:1:1, if you change the ratio to 3:1:1 it now is the same thing as their high end called GLOBAL D894 which was developed for the european cars with flatter paint jobs.This comes out much flatter right out of the gun, looks awesome when sanded and buffed,and is more durable than the standard mix ratio.It is a 2 or 3 coat clear,but I went 4 because I went very aggressive in the sanding to get it super flat .The paint code for B5 in DBC is 2019.Here are a couple pics,any more ?'s ,be happy to answer.

Let me just say that your car is beautiful!  I wish I could have you do mine.  I plan on having a pro shop do all the finish bodywork and paint on my car since I am by no means a painter.  I will be doing the metal work and I have had the car media blasted to bare metal.  I just need to shoot some epoxy on the bare metal parts to keep them from getting rusty until I can get it ready for the paint shop.  I was thinking of using PPG's DPLF but I just needed some suggestions and advice on getting the epoxy on right so as not to screw up the rest of the bodywork process.

   i was wondering if i were to use a dupont primer would it be ok to use a ppg paint, because i've heard its bad to mix products.  Thanks

B5,like I stated , I prefer the omni epoxy over the DPLF because the DPLF sprays a little chunky,as the omni sprays out finer and dries better.Either way prep the panels when you get it back by D/A sanding with 180 grit,wash good with prepsol of some sort (PPG DX 330),then put on one good coat.If you choose to go with DPLF there are 2 catalyst's for it ,401 or 402. USE 401 !!!! follow the tech sheet as it states 1/2 hour induction time after you mix ,then spray.
       
      chargerboy,not true,you can go right over with PPG sealers,primers,etc.(just compare to what you are going to use in PPG and see if they recomend going over a similar product of theirs compared to what dupont primer you already have down).

who makes the best candy apple red .and what is the best primer to use with house of color paint
and  is ther anything better the  house of color paint .i dont know whos car this is but it sexy  does anyone know whoes car this is .
