Is it bad to let an engine sit for a long time?

I bought my 360 back in February and it has been sitting on the stand since I brought it home in April, due to the expected "unexpected setbacks" that come with the territory of working on such a project.

At this point, it looks like it will be there for at least a couple more months. Is there any risk of it locking up or what have you? Is there anything I should do in the meantime?

take spark plugs out and spray some wd-40 type lubricant in there. make sure intake and other holes and sealed/masked off tight

I agree with silver R/T.....Make sure all of the orifices are sealed  as to not let dust/critters get in.   A few months shouldn't hurt anything....It may also behoove you  every once and again to turn the motor by hand  with a breaker bar.....just to sleep better at night...lol
