Hey guys,

I dont know what these are called exaclty, but they are the pieces that only show when you open the trunk lid... The weatherstripping is attached to them and I guess you could almost call them drain rails (water drains from them)...

Anyways, I have not seen anyone make a reproduction piece (correct me if someone does) and I moved from the interior to the trunk yesterday, my "drain rail" on the driver side was pretty rusted under the fiberglass that had been used to fix it in the past, so I took measurements and had a new piece pressed. Turned out pretty well in my opinion.

The attached picture shows the new piece. If theres any interest for these let me know, I could do a small run or such.

The trunk edge still needs more patches made but its getting there... just need to patch a few other places then paint the interior, trunk and engine bay and lower in the 440.

Can you do that area for a 68?  I need to do some repair work in that area also

I dont know if the shape is the same, maybe someone who knows can chime in.

I bought ones cut off of another car. They are not reproduced as far as I know but they usualy hold up pretty well. If someone's lower quarters are rusty they can't sell the whole quarter any way and cutting off the top isn't hard. The bends don't look like anything too special so if a guy has the right tools then only the corner pieces would be difficult. Those look good 73 Charger 440! I have no idea if they are the same on a 68 and I don't have one of each year to compare. I may have some extra pieces to measure though.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.
