How to prevent filler from showing thru topcoat?

I'm doing bodywork on my 69. I've applied some Evercoat Gold Rage filler and sanded it down smooth. I've applied an epoxy primer over it and the bare metal. However, where the filler is, the sheen is dull but shiny where the metal is. I know if not done properly, this will show thru when the topcoat is applied and you can see where the filler is. I'm also planning on spraying a primer surfacer, seal coat, top coat and clear. At some point, will this difference disappear or is there something else I need to do for a uniform appearance?

it will disappear if you did your body work correctly. you'll put more coats of primer and sand it and then you'll seal it. It wont show through topcoat.

:iagree: Yes the first coats of primer will get absorbed in the filler and show, once you do your next round of priming it will dissappear provided its all feathered smooth. I actually spray my epoxy and do a block sanding on my epoxy primer to get the surface the best it can before high build primer. This way your block sanding will go a little quicker.
