I don't even know myself.  I know extremes (30 is really hot and 10 is cold), liters are smaller than gallons, 50 kph in town and 100 on the freeway, but thats it really.  My kids converse freely in metric and have no clue what a mile is.  My wife can convert between the two systems but I came along before all that BS came to Canada.  If you ask me estimate distance, weight, volume, or temperature you're getting an answer in the old methods.
All I know for sure is that gas went up yesterday.

You know what? After the royal reaming we've endured the past couple of years, if the prices remained +/- 10 cents in either direction of these prices in this pic for the rest of my life, I think I'd be perfectly happy.



BTW, about a mile after I snapped this pic, I saw a sign that said $1.47. This is so cool!

Most places here(Asheboro N.C.)are down to around $1.59/reg. some are still as much as $1.73/reg. tho.

$1.73 for reg here. Oil prices went down to $43 and change today per barrel. That is where it was in the early '90s. So, if it drops more like it is, may we might see .99 cent a gallon again

Of course I filled up my pickup last night at $1.73 a gallon, today it was dropped to $1.62 a gallon for reg. $2.23 for diesel here.

In the Old days the Portland area used to always be cheaper. I just saw 1.75 for reg at a mom and pop store but..........
