Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

It is kind of funny to look back through the pages of this thread and see the fact that less than 2 years ago there was a point where gas was $1.99 a gallon.  I guess it really isn't all that "funny" though.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Aw the good old days.  That must have been about the time my dad parked his Mercury and bought a VW.  I remember the story..... ;D

Question: Why is gas/diesel sold with the 9/10 deal. I can see back in the day when gas was 22 cents a gal............sounded cheaper than 23!

But with fuel at 4 bucks plus........whats the point? I've never anything else for sale with 9/10th's of a cent added to it.............. :icon_smile_question:

I agree, that's stupid and they should change it.

I rode around last nite (since gas is dirt cheap now) to find the cheapest gas here in town. I found most between $3.79-$3.89 but there is one place selling regular for $3.49/gal cash only. The place across the road was $3.54/gal. Diesel has also dropped around here at least $.20 in the last few days from $4.99 to $4.79 with some as cheap as $4.59.

Current MoPars:

1975 Dart Swinger. 225 Pops daily ride.

Here we go, July '03 vs July '08 from South Fork CO. The first is a pic of a pic because it was taken with a disposable camera. It is hard to see but is $1.73 for regular. By the way, last Saturday the price was $4.45 for Reg.

If it ain't broke, fix it 'till it is.
