Will Edelbrock Performer carb and intake clear hood on 69?

I'm looking into purchasing a intake manifold for my 69. I'm using the stock wrinkle finish air cleaner with an Eddy performer carb. Will the PERFORMER (NOT PERFORMER RPM) intake manifold clear the hood? The specs are 3.8" high in front and 4.8" high in rear. The other option is to use a Weiand intake which is approx. 3.7" tall all the way around. Any help would be greattly appreciated. Thanks

which engine?
the Performer imtakes are generally anything But , you will make more power with the Weiand anyway

Anyway, what is a good intake for a 383 or 440 for mainly street use?

:iagree: The Wiend is a better manifold by far....if you're going through the trouble of upgrading to an aluminum intake you might as well get one that performs better than stock. The "Performer" is basicly an aluminum stock replacement, nothing more.

Either Eddie Performer RPM (but tall) or the Holley Street Dominator (lower height, easier fit...many of us run this one) :)

We're talking about the regular RB Weiand intake, and not the "higher" RPM Team G intake, right?

the Holley STreet Dom intake is a great choice as well , sits low & makes as much power as almost any intake available , Part # 300 - 14
