EXTREMELLY RARE... just have known someone similar the "WHITEY" 71 that Troy had. was a demo dealer.

It looks has still more options than "whitey", that had houndstooth interior and 6 way bucket

Low fuel ( convenience driver package ) and headlamp washers are the rarest of everyone you mentioned on your car... after that, the sunroof.

Radio and cassette player are not incredible rare but not common, even more if is stereo and EVEN MORE if is double rear speaker specially with rr deffog.

Not sure about what exactly is the door agar lite ???, I think is the only stuff I never have seen ( personally or web pics ) or known

WE NEEED PIIIIICS

BTW Jamey... here is a pair of pics with headlamps washers... first pic is Troy's ex 71
second pic is a complete assembly offered on ebay

Actually,I added a houndstooth black interior and black vinal top insted of the white...(but yes I still have the original white interior with mint door panels packed away) i will post some pics later today after I pull it out of the garage. The car spends more time at the track than on the showfield..runs 12.90@109 with a 470 stroker...stock looking except headers and even has the stock converter and 3.55 rear.  I have been to many all mopar events..Vegas..Spring fling...carlisle..and have never seen one with this many options..also on the build sheet it is marked .D6XW.. What does this mean ?

Charger_Fan

Wow, that sounds like a pretty cool car. Welcome aboard!

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

chargerkid

I wouldn't say its "extremely" rare, but optioned.  Maybe it was a sixpack, 4 speed airgrabber.  I have seen many loaded R/T's.

I'm by no means an expert on the 71's, but the little white book says:
D = Deluxe Trim Grade Interior   ???
6 = Bucket, Vinyl
XW = White interior with Black carpet, instrument panel, steering wheel & headlining

Are you sure that the B-cast Sheet says "D" rather than C6XW?  I know on '69 and '70s, a Charger only came with the Charger (C) interior trim grade.  You ThirdGen guys march to your own drumbeat though, I know...   :P

That does sound like a neat, heavily-optioned car.  Pics would be great for us to drool over too!

D6** is a valid interior code for a 71 R/T.

I'd love to see the tag on yours. I'll bet it's full.

I remember reading way back when,..  that Automakers discovered in the late '60s that they're Vehicles' options were a great source of profit... so there was an explosion of add ons in that time frame.
one reason I jumped on my Charger the way I did was it was an R/T S.E.
if you had to option one,  what boxes would you check?...   :icon_smile_wink:
...can't wait to see your car!

MOPARHOUND!

Sunroof is a cool option.

Somewhere out there is a White 71 Charger R/T with so many options it more than doubled the price of the car from a base model charger, sunroof etc.

About the only option it didn't have surprisingly is a console.  All that money for options, and it was column shift.

Car had a nut and bolt resto, and I could have bought it for $25,000 5 years ago, but didn't want to daily drive a show car.

*"We normally wouldn't use a 383 for this build, parts and labor for a 440 cost the same."

71 RT

I would have to agree with Nacho, I think that car is VERY RARE.  I have looked a lot of 71 R/T's in the past 25 years, VERy few with those kinds of options.  The sunroof alone puts it as one of jsut a handful of R/Ts made with that option.  Just my opinion.  I want to see pictures of this car.

sounds like a nice car, I would like to see some pics also......
Does you R/T have rear bumper guards?

Let me throw this out there, How many 71 R/T's have you seen with Rear bumper guards on it?
Sounds weird but there were only a handfull that had them.

Only 11 made with rear bumper guards only...  513 with front and rear...  25 with front only...

Only 47 had the headlight washer...
Only 30 made with sunroof..

All numbers were R/T only (WS23)

Nicely optioned car! Congrats!
