Just returned from Georgia, where my wife, younger daughter and I got to meet two great DC members. Shelley, (YELLOWCUDA), and her hubby Jonathan. They make a great couple and we had an excellent time with them. Their place is fantastic and the MOPAR GARAGE is absolutely beyond..  Jonathan took me for a ride in the blown Hemi Charger. I'll just simply say IT SCREWS!!!!!!!!  Hardly cracking the throttle, that big hemi and 8-71 nail you to the back of the seat through the gears, including the GearVenders over drive. Damn that car is quick!!  Jonathan did a fantastic job building the car. If anyone ever had any doubt , forget about it. That car is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.. After going for a ride with him I completely forgot what we went to Georgia for.  We were there to look at houses.. I could have hung with Jonathan all weekend and let my wife and daughter go with Shelley looking for a new place, but, I would still be pulling  splinters from the 2x4 from the back of my head!!

The CD.COM Charger is there in the corner and I'll tell you right now, (IT IS A PILE).. If Jonathan can make that car HALF as nice as any of their other cars, he will deserve THE RIDDLER AWARD. I THINK it had 1 salvageable window. The rest is a twisted mess.. He says he can make it right and after seeing his other cars I BELIEVE....

For any of you thinking about moving to another state, give Georgia a shot. The only horn I heard while up there was mine!! Only saw one accident. Here in the same traffic would have been at least 6-8 good wrecks. The people were nice and not 1 Rebel Flag on a truck or car or flag pole. Didn't see anyone flying their BIRD  :nono: either.. Very nice place.

Shelley and Jonathan  here's to you.. We've got to do it again soon.....

Sounds like you had a great time. Was it hot/humid/muggy while you were there?
I visited Dallas in the summertime a few years ago & DAYUMM  I've never experienced that kind of humidity! :o

Cool story...but there seems to be something missing...

hmmm...

...oh yeah... PICS,PICS,PICS!!! :boogie:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Sounds like a good time. Hell, half the time I can't get my friends to even start their Chargers and let me hear them run let alone give me a ride in them. Mike let me drive his old blue one, but I haven't had a turn in thet purple one yet.

It was actually hotter there than in Florida. We saw 103* on the trucks 'outside temp' gauge while driving into the area. The humidity was low. Way better than Florida this time of year. They are experiencing a very hot and dry summer from what everyone said. Not the norm.

I did take a few pics. but I'm having some trouble with my camera. I was so in aw with Jonathan and Shelley's cars that I kind of forgot about taking pics. I remembered the camera just before we left.  I'll try to post what I can.

To Shelley and Jonathan, thanks again for a great time.  I'm looking forward to some updated pics. of the    Cuda. As nice as that car is I'm sure Jonathan will have it done in no time at all.. We'll be talking to you soon..

Steve you are so sweet.  Thank  you for the comments, we really enjoyed meeting you and your family!  You are blessed with a wonderful wife and daughter.  Jonathan enjoyed talking car to someone other than me and he loves to give rides in the Charger.  That's what it's for.
Anyone else coming by Georgia for a visit or to move, give us a call!  We would love to meet you too.  We haven't even met all the Georgia people yet!
I think you cursed me though Steve, as soon as you left my internet, cable TV and phone went down...they of course are all connected but I went two days with nothing....made me crazy. :icon_smile_tongue:

Hahaha.... No black magic here, Shelley.. We are going to have a family meeting this weekend about making the move or not. Mary and I are arguing about which house. She is with you on the cape. I like the 2 acre 3-2-2 with the big great room on the back. Shanon just plain wants to stay here with her friends.  We will see what the rest of the family thinks over the weekend.

Thanks again for a great time. Dinner was a blast too...  And I'll take a ride in the Charger anytime..... That's one serious ride..

It's great meeting folks from the board.  You talk all the time and can't help but wonder what they're like in person.  Sounds like fun!

Just like driving on ice bull, nail it around 20-30 mph and you're smoking the hides.  :icon_smile_big:
