I was rear ended Tuesday AM on the way to work. Low speed, but still have wiplash. Then I went to the auto paint store this morning and a guy changed lanes and plowed into me while I was slowing down for a stop light. I have been driving for over 30 years and this had only happened to me one in all that time....now two times in one week. Safeco is probably going to drop me like a hot potato.

Drop you?  Doubt it.  Raise your rates a helluva lot, yes, but I doubt they'll drop you.  Both accidents were not your fault.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

Bummer Mark. When it rains it pours sometimes I guess. Please tell me you weren't driving one of the three amigos.

No wasn't driving the 68, 69 or 71. 2000 Ferd Taurus, my new commuter car.

I've only owned it 3 weeks. Maybe I should sell it.....almost seems like it is bad luck.

Nah, just sand off the bullseye on the back bumper. ;D

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

A buddy of mine has a ToyLeta with the same trouble. We figured some cars have special windshields that reveal a target on his rear bumper and trunk....    So far in 2 years it has been hit in the rear 3 times. Once in the pass rear 1/4. Had the nose pushed in while he was parked at work. (The car was backed into the spot).... And someone in a same year, make and model took off his drivers side , side view mirror. He was stopped at a light. Both mirrors ended up on the ground. Luckily the HITTER was being followed by a cop who saw it happen and nailed the guy..

Some people get all the luck!

Im hoping someone hits my jeep and writes it off. I'll get more from insurance than selling it...

Was liifting it and broke off 3 of the 4 top shock mount bolts. So had to cut the floor and bust the weld nuts off from the inside cause i couldnt drill them out. Found out the rear floor had more holes than i thought... So saved the lift kit for the next jeep....

Now its got 2 bolts with nuts holding one shock and one with a busted head one and a siezed one holding the other one....

Plus I was driving it to work after and a truck through up a nice rock and cracked my windshield...

Just keep getitng worse.. REsale going down... :(

they don't have a reason to raise your rates. If you have collision and file a claim they will just get it out of the company that hit you.

Twice in one week. I'd sell the car, sounds like bad luck. Glad you're ok.

Damn!  Sorry to hear about that!  BUT they should not drop you nor raise your rates.  I lived in Orlando for almost four years.  In that time...my Mustang was vandalized two two times (one someone took all the Mustang emblems than damage my hood latch where I could not open the hood...the second my neighbors came home from drinking...were fighting...and he instead of hitting his car with his fist...hit mine and put a huge dent in the hood.).  Than I had to call  my insurance company when lightening hit my apartment and blew out a TV, VCR, and my computer (all three that was not turned on at the time and I had surge protectors lol).  The fourth time was when someone rear ended me going about 50 mph-no fault state so MY insurance company had to pay all of my hospital bills and rehab.  Four claims that actually happend in three years time.  They neither removed me or raised my rates.  I have State Farm.

I did move from Florida...lol.  They probably rejoiced when I did too.

Hows your back doing thats what I like to know ? Sometimes you think you are ok then a few days later you feel it. And 2 times, hope you are feel alright.

triple_green

The second accident wrenched my back from left to right. He hit me on the rear bumper drivers side. I really started feeling it this morning. Yesterday afternoon, I sat in the neighbors hot tub all afternoon, so it felt looser.

This sucks and my vacation starts next Monday...so much for Waterskiing and tennis....

You guys are right...I should havenever boought a ferd!!

Mark,

Sorry to hear about your accidents.  Hope you are feeling better.  Don't settle up on anything until you are feeling 100%.

Good Luck - I hope it didn't spoil your vacation too much >:(

Major bummer Mark.   Thankful you didn't get hauled off in a meat wagon.  I'd get your back checked out anyways, never know??
