I love Hee Haw!  I can understand some people not liking it though.  You gotta live it to understand it.  It's kind of like one of those "you had to be there" stories.
When I was just a very young lad I looked up and told my dad, a bareback rider's what I wanna be.  I want the whole world to know about me.  In the rodeo arena I'll make my stand.  I wanna be a rodeo man.  I'll come flyin' from the chute with my spurs up high, chaps and boots reachin' for the sky.  Spurin' wild with my head throwed back, you'll ask 'Who's that,' well that's Bareback Jack.  You'll ask 'Who's that,' well that's Bareback Jack.

Havent watched it since I was a kid and basically my dad held the family hostage with it. I really did like it though. It was just pure all American, clean fun, and theres not much of that anymore. I'd watch it again (or try to) Remember Misty Rowe?, she'd make any of you pack up & move to Hee Haw USA in a minute....SA-LUTE!!!  :patriot:

KCBee

Love it.
At least you can watch it with your kids without having to explain too much, ya know?
Most programming is garbage.

Wakko

I was watchin' yesterday and they had a young and thin Garth Brooks on there.  He was laughing so hard they had to come back to him to do his lines, it was great.

nothing like watching the "kornfield county" skits :smilielol:

And that's what you call cheap entertainment on T.V. :icon_smile_big:  back then.

Same for me. But I loved the show too actually. I guess that is why I don't watch much of any tv anymore. Because there are no shoes that even come close to good clean fun, one liners, and puns anymore.

Wife and I saw that show yesterday evening.

Used to watch it every Saturday night at my grandma's house along with the Carol Burnet Show.  Yes, and those girls on Hee Haw are healthy looking!! ;D

I loved watching that show...but alas, I have no cable (or satellite, or...). :-[

Actually, most of the reason I watched it back then was because of those "healthy" girls! :drool5:
Oh & the jokes were good too. ;D

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I got to go to a couple of Hee Haw tapings in 1973, the highlight of course was meeting Barbi Benton.  The pic below is from the taping of her television singing debut.  I got to have lunch with her and accompany her to make-up before the shoot.  This was just a few months before her Playboy layout of December '73.  It was an unimaginable thrill for me as a 17 year old kid, and still gives me testosterone shivers.

My cable company dropped CMT as of yesterday! I love that channel too...I guess it's time to make a few complaints!

I remember being a little kid and also watching Martin & Rowan "Laugh-in". That was pretty good and cool or should I say "groovey" too. Goldy Hawn with the paste on tatoos and doing the go-go dance skid. Also the father, the german guy, the phone operator, etc.... Pretty cool show, especially since it started in 1968 and not knowing that my 68 Charger was being made that March it's even cooler! ;)!
