Hey All,
I was just reading an old car book about all makes and they started taliking about a 69 Charger 500 that ran partially on propane,it was known as "Propane X".There was also a photo showing the car at a track.Im curious if anyone knows anything about this car and if it is still around.I have never heard of this car but it really was interesting to see a pic of it.........So anybody heard of it? :icon_smile_question:

Yep, I know the car, I just saw pics of it, I thought on this site, but I can't find them. If I remember right, it goes by another name now, "Rated X" maybe? Anybody?

Propane is THE best, my friend.  It's nature's clean-burning fossil fuel that's suitable for all kinds of utilitarian & culinary needs.

I know it's probably a little different, but here in Australia heaps of cars run on L.P.G (Liquified Petroleum Gas).

I';m currently looking to install a system on my 71 Charger. LPG is 50 cents per litre Australian compared to over $1.50 per litre for gasoline.

You do the conversions.......it's a huge difference.

The Propane X Charger has come up a few times in the Aero Cars forum.   The specific threads do not come to mind right now.
Also, I don't think it ran partially on propane, I think it ran completely on it.

Same here in Belgium and Netherlands
Installation of LPG runs around $1800 but you save so much on gas (2/3 of the gas price) it is a good investment, if you really intend to drive the Charger +10.000 milers a year.
