68 rt stripes

I'm thinking of painting the rt stripes on my 68. Where can i get the exact measurements from? Anyone done this?
Does anyone have a pic of a really subtle stripe on a black car(dark silver, charcoal etc.)?

Make sure you have a correct one to go by because (as you most likely know) these stripes don't just go up and over.  The measurements that 8WHEELER just shared with you don't show all the angles.

I had to redo my stripe because we got it wrong the first time even with the vinyl.  It would be a way easier to get it wrong if we had been painting them on.

I have seen many painted on stripes, some were close, most were way of, one was on the money.
They can look very good painted on, but we have talked this over on this board before. It would
be better to use a decal in most cases, that was the agreement on this board. If you paint it, be
be darn sure you like it that way before you do it, and you will need to check all of your angles
and the stripe widths over and over if you want it dead on, there is no easy second chance........

Our '68 was just completed last week, and it is black with a set of black stripes in the rear.  We took it to a car show on Sunday and had all kinds of people stop and tell us how great they look.   I laugh and tell them they're stealth stripes.  They are the normal black '68 stripes sold by Phoenix Graphics.  Sorry, but I don't have a photo to post...Brian
