Have you ever won something on E-Bay then never hear from the seller

I won some adj. rocker arms from some guy in HI and never hear from him afterwards. He left shipping charges open so I asked him before the item ended how much to ship to Michigan, he told me less than $20. I then won a set of factory small block adj. rocker arms without the shafts for $36  from him. Ask him whats my total 2 times  now and still nothing. Its been 3 days now, I am thinking maybe he though it go for much more and does not want to sell them for that price.
Has this ever happen to anyone else ? How long can he wait till I no longer have to pay if he asks me later on ?

Well, a guy in CA put me off for nearly 4 months when I won a set of rocker mouldings for less than 30 bucks. I sent the payment and a fair amount for shipping promptly via Certified Mail. He finally did send them, and in spite of it all I left him a positive feedback, and he left me nothing. Guesstimate the weight,  get an online quote, and send it. Cover your butt so he cannot gripe about not recieving payment. I also went a few weeks on another item I won, and as it turns out,his wife had been admitted to the hospital for an emergency brain surgery of some sort. The seller was very apologetic about the delay and even sent me a little bonus package for my good humor and patience. I'm glad she's OK, now.

Yeah I guess something might have happen to him , never can tell. What worries me is he takes money orders or certified check only . No pay pal which I always use Visa and have got my bank Chase to charge back a payment one time.

I thinking of just waiting and see if he says anything, not too worry about pissing of E-bay , I been a good member for over a year now with 100 % feedback from sellers and buyers. Would hate to lose that but if I did oh well, still is better than throwing $55 dollars out the window.

It's only been 3 days.  That's not too bad.  Be patient for about another 7 days, then start to ask questions.

Do NOT send money if he's not contacted you.  I'm dealing with that right now, I won an auction five days ago and haven't heard from the seller.  I've had to go get the item elsewhere as I needed it soonest.  You can request the person's phone number and call them, or just forget about it.  If he sends you a NPB alert you can tell Ebay what happened.  Give it a few more days though, three isn't too too many.

I recently won an auction and the seller had the "contact me in 3 days" warning.
I had contacted him moments after the auction ended and didn't hear from him.
I sent another e-mail on the third day. A nice one. Basically saying that I didn't want the transacation to go bad, and I didn't want to be a pest, blah blah blah.
He got back to me that day with shipping costs and I paid him. He said he was just being a slow poke.

Now I'm waiting for the parcel.    Only about 9 days later and I don't know if he shipped it THAT day; then there's crossing the border.. I'm not worried yet....

Didn't take paypal, money orders only. I had his cell and would call about once a week.

Same stuff happened to me a few weeks ago... I contacted the seller prior to using Buy It Now on a part I could not get from here and needed it fast, he said he can ship it here (overseas) and told me a price. I used Buy It Now and asked the seller to send me a invoice for it or their PayPal email address (because using eBay's Pay Now option would result in incorrect shipping amount).

I sent the seller a few emails over the next week and then got no replies, I needed the part ASAP so I got it from elsewhere. A few weeks after that the seller tried to file "did not pay" on me but I stated exactly what had happened and it was closed.

I hear that Hawaii stuff was good but you think he get used to it, ha ha. I gave it to him but told him when ever I sell something E-Bay gives you that info. I also told him my car goes in to storage late Oct. and we don't have year round summer here. I hope I hear back from him today, not 5 days later. I keep my fingers cross.

I bought a part for my Charger from someone on ebay....fritzo34...and he is awesome.  Contacted me the same day...I did make my payment the moment I won...and within three days I had the part here.  I was impressed.  Not sure if it is a member here, but he is pretty awesome.

That how most are really, maybe it might take 5-8 days to get it, then again I got a intake last week and the guy charged me $12 to ship it from MO-MI and I got it 3 days after I won and paid for it. This guy or kid or what ever is on the last straw with me, if I don't here something soon and it make a little sense why its so long to take, I mean he could have just said oh $18 should do it. He can forget about getting a dime from me. E-Bay can kiss my butt if they don't like it. I E-mail them Friday about it and all they told me was the standard replies -E-mail him, I told I did 3 times or call him. You have tried the resolution center on ebay right.  Like you said, don't send any money, as I understand it you won the item on or around the 24th of July.  Is that right?  Don't give up yet, he could be on vacation(ok not likely cause he's in HI) He could be in the military called away real quick, he could be in the hospital... no telling what might have happened.  Go to his feedback, check his items most recently bought and sold and see what the dates are.  If nothing has happened in the last few days or a week, that's a good indication that something is wrong.  It's only been 7 days, I've waited longer with a positive outcome.

What's his ebay id?

As far as the postings go, I understand you just fine.  Heck without you and a few others, I'd still have that POS ignition system and eddy carb in my car.

Nothings happen to him or her cause I got a e-mail on friday asking me for my address, I did give it but said that e-bay gives that out as soon as the winner is know. I sent no money so there is nothing to resolve and his feed back is low at 26. I am not saying the ebay id cause of some others on here, this is between us two no one else. I did not get ripped off-at least not yet- so I am not mad, just can not understand some people. No its not that long but it is when I don't hear anything for days and then I get a dumb e-mail asking " I need yior address and zip code" then nothing now for 3 more days. Something seems wrong, maybe if I met the person I would understand.

I got them !! They look good too, HI mail takes 3 days -not bad- but he was slow, but I did not need them fast anyways. So hats off to him, not sure why it took a month but better late than never.

He stuff the box with some HI newspapers. Did you guys know the average price of a home in Maui is now $780,000 . It was in the business section, first page, those homes keep going up every year. Well I can't afford to move there thats for sure.

Anyone sell an item on ebay then have a problem contacting the buyer.

I sold an item for $735 and wrote 8 different messages to the buyer for them to confirm their shipping address, and confirm how they were going to pay for the item. After 12 days, and 8 messages to no reply, I just gave up on contacting them. Left the buyer a negative feedback, and get this the buyer was a media company. 2 minutes after I post the negative feedback he emails me saying it will be another 9 days until he can get a cashiers check to pay me. I told him to keep his money I didn't need it.
My wife says I'm too harsh, but man don't bid if you don't have the money. Don't wait 12 days and then ask for another 9 to get a cashiers check to mail to me. That would be almost a month after the auction closed before he would have paid.
