I am having a problem with my lights!!!The dims do not want to work but when I hit the high beams on the floor all four lights come on(sounds like something Johnny Cash sang about) but anyways I got pulled over at a stop check and they were not cross but conserned anyways long story no dims but brights when you hit the brights all four can any one help?Would it be the dimmer switch on the floor it is a 68 charger thanks

Ghoste

Or burnt out low beams? (I believe they are dual filament)

lee

No I tried other headlights and they two do not work

Try another floor dimmer switch.

It's not a midlife crisis, it's my second adolescence.

I'll have to agree with the 'try another dimmer switch' suggestion.  The one in my old AMC Spirit used to do intermittently. Only, instead of replacing it, I could give it a couple kicks and have lights again.  ;D
1968 Charger -currently spread all over my garage!

I tried another one same thing happened then I tried another one then I read my manual the one you get with the car and it said the the light switch is also a breaker so I reached up in behind and pushed on the back of the light switch and it works now but now I don't have hazzard lights could it be that little round cylinder under the dash that two wires plug into it says its for the flashers I stumped

Ghoste

Yes, it could be the flasher. (and it is the little round cylinder)
