What about the ones who post the same thing in different areas, and I with you about stopping the posters who can't even post some where it should go. Too many 15 years on here I believe. As far as people can't behave right everywhere, just cause one guys a jerk does not mean you should be also. Something to remember when we are on the road too.

some thoughts come to mind....  ;D

like why is this post here?..

where's the question mark?.

??? Who are you responding to.

"I with you" who would that be?..

perhaps site suggestions would be the approprate place for this...

"too many 15 years on here I belive"  what exactly do you mean by this?..   ???

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There seems to be an ongoing problem with people starting all new threads on any topic imaginable in General Discussion because they think that more people will see their incredibly important post and, apparently, that the rules should only apply to other members. The most common themes within these misplaced threads are technical questions which people incorrectly assume will go unread/unanswered in the Tech sections. The best tech people hang out in the Tech sections where they are more likely to spot a question and provide an answer but they also tend to get tired of answering the same things repeatedly. I spent a lot of time trying to organize the site so that relevant information is in the most logical place for ALL members of the site. This aids in searching, helps cut down on repeat questions, and reduces clutter and unnecessary scrolling in the busiest section of the site. So, not only is it inconsiderate to other members when threads are started in the wrong place but it's disrespectful, rude, and time-consuming for the mods to have to "clean up". As usual, there are certain people who are more guilty of this than others. Unfortunately, we/I don't have time to send courteous little notes each time we have to move a thread so I've come up with other measures to get the attention of the worst offenders. In the future, I willl suspend the thread starting privileges - in GD or site wide - of anyone who just can't quite figure it out to give them some extra time to study the layout of the forums. This may sound harsh to some but I'm also sick of getting rude responses back when I ask someone politely to stop abusing the site. I will treat them with an equal amount of respect...

Thanks,
Troy
