buyer changes his mind and reall pisses andy off

as i told some of you guys at carlisle,i had a 71 bee that i was buying,gave the guy all the money with the understanding that i would pick the car up when i got home.after 2 weeks of phone calls,leaving messages and knocking on the door,he stoped by my work this morning,handed me my money back and said he is not selling it to me now.so not only do i not have a super bee,he had my cash for 3 and a half weeks,and i missed out on a 72 se like my blue car because i thought we were all set-and he moved the car sometime over the weekend,so i cant even find it to try and talk to him,it was at his fathers house,where we allways met to discuss the price and make the transactions, i am so fu##ing hot i can feel my blood pressure spiking

Im sorry to hear that you went through that.  Look on the bright side, at least you got your money back and he didn't take off with the car AND your money.  Maybe the next car you purchase, you should get the title upon the transfer of money so they dont back out.

I was wondering why I hadn't heard you say anything else about it.

Sorry to hear the bad news buddy.It sounds like someone "got to him" and he is going to sell it to someone else for more money.

But at least you did get your money back.
These days in the hobby when you find and agree on a deal(especially a good deal) I would put it in writing,so that it protects you the buyer just as well.

That totally sucks Andy. It seems like a very common problem these days. A friend of mine can't seem to seal the deal on a muscle car. Every time he finds one he likes the seller won't firm up a price or he backs out at the last minute.

that really suxx the 71 bee is one of my dream cars, however i would be just as happy with a plain 71. a 68-69 bee would also be really high on my list..sucks when people eff ya like that
