hey guys i'm trying to figure out what this is. it was in a box when i got the car back from the body shop. it  is for a 68 charger. Rene

It looks like one of two things to me, either a driveline loop setup or some kind of towbar hitch. :shruggy:

i think it comes from the trunk area. since they replaced my trunk floor and it swivels .  :shruggy:

Someone must have added it on. Maybe Silver is right, maybe someone added a spare tire mounting bracket onto your car. I don't recall ever seeing that part on a '68.
