Okay, who is he?

He was in alot of movies, especially older movies playing Japanese admirals and such I think. He was also in the movie 7 Years in Tibet if I'm not mistaken.

Character actor. One of those people you recognize but rarely know their names. I believe he was one of the Japanese Admirals in that mediocre Ben Affleck movie "Pearl Harbor." Even as a character actor Mako was probably twice the actor Affleck will ever be.

Man, sad news.

He also did a lot of T.V. work.

In fact I remember at least a couple of Magnum pi episodes he did.

Definitely will be missed.

he did it all, hawaiin, chinese, korean, vietnamese, or any character that was supposed to be any kind of asian....
