Has anyone done this? I know someone used to do it, I think Mancini? But, I was wishing to do it myself. I have alot of electronic distributors and an extra Prestolite,, so,,, what the heck.........

Get ahold of Pertronix. I'm sure one of their kits can be made to fit on one of the points mounting locations, but unless the bushings, shaft, and any other moving parts are in "like new" condition, and the advance curve happens to be perfect for your application, you would be better off E-baying it and buying a new electronic unit.

Just did it on my Hemi and here are a few things Pretronix doesn't not tell you.  First, the Pretronix kit does install where the points did as the direstions say.  the module installs where the Condenser did.  This is OK if you know that but Pretronix does not tell you anywhere in the directions.  Now since you have moved the location your timing is now 40 degrees off toward the retard side so you need to pull the dist and back up the intermediate shaft one tooth to reset the location of the dist housing then re-time the car.  After all that it seems to run the same as it did on the dual point.
