Good Morning,,

Been lurking around for a while. This is a great source of info. After a lot of thinking I ( OK - really my wife) decided to go with Magnum 500's on our 73. If I read the fat wheel posts correctly I should be able to go with a 15x10 w/5" backspace on the rear . Cooper Cobra 295/50x15 and a 15 x 8 w/4" backspace on the front, 245/60x15.

I saw the stance on the 2 cars I could see in the posts with roughly that set up and they look great! ( I think one was from uud looz, black w crager SS and the other maybe Paul w/ Magnums?)

If I read correctly, there doesn't seem to really be any clearance problems, just wanted to check in with you experienced folks to be sure. I will replace the shocks at the same time. I was just going to go with a regular decent shock in the front and some type of air shock in the back in case I needed to have some small adjustability. I don't have to do any spring or shackle work for this set up, do I?

Car is basically a stock 73 charger w/a 318 2 barrel set up. Just gonna cruise around in it and wanted to keep her pretty original looking because she is in halfway decent shape as is.

Any comments/suggestions/opinions are appreciated ( of course I will post pics when she is done)

What do you think?

thanks.  Tom

Tom - I hope this doesn't come too late.  I have 15 x 8, 4.5" Backspace in the back with 275/60/15 and 15x7 4" backspace on the front with 245/60/15. No Clearance issues, my shocks and springs are soft.  I do need to crank up the front an inch or so but this may be close to your set up.
I did all my research on the awesome site.  I have a few more things to do on this beast and I'll be going down the road.  Thanks to all who put time into this site!

thanks for the reply, probably should have titled this different to get more responses but........

Anyway, rims and tires are done and I am picking it up tomorrow. Could have gotten it today but I am in coastal NC and wanted to let Hannah get through here before I brought it home to my tree filled yard. They said no clearance problems, I'll let you all know. My fronts are the same as yours and I stopped by to look at it yesterday, seems like plenty of space. Rears are 15x10 and that is where I am concerned. I put air shocks on it too so I think it will be OK. I'll try to post some pics tomorrow, might need help with that though - haven't gotten the pic size thing quite figured out yet.

The cragars on mine are 4 1/2 back spacing I believe, no clearance problems with the springs, but I definitely needed the air shocks for the tires to  clear the fenders
