what size tire would I need if I decided to use 17x10's in order to have the same height, width, clearance, etc... as I have with the 15x10s?

Did that make any sense or should I try and word it differently?

A 295-50-15 is 26.6" diameter and 11.6" wide.

Theoretically, a 295-40-17 would give you the same width and approximately the same diameter. You won't find a tire with that size designation though.

A 285-40-17 is probably as close as you'll get, and selection will be limited.

Wheel selection will be limited as well in the offset you'll want.

Try a 305-40-17 on a 17x11 wheel.

Start browsing the tire manufacturer's online catalogs.

Thanks, Magnum.

I'll start looking around for that size wheel.
