Hi guys, I'm in Detroit currently, and I'm thinking of staying for the Dream Cruise. Was curious to know if anyone from here might have some extra room for me to ride along.

If you do, please email me at:

johnnytoxin@NOSPAMmsn.com (just remove NOSPAM first)

I know this is completely last minute, but so are my plans to extend my stay for the cruise.

After seeing all the old iron rolling around today (and all week for that matter), I just can't see missing it since I'm here.

Hope everyone is doing great, and it's nice to stop in real quick.

Take care guys!

I have heard it called the "Woodward Dream Snooze"!

Can't comment as I have never been.  I read that the police shut everything down around 9:00 PM as residents complain.

I would still like to go, one of these years.

If you need a place to stay, perhaps just over the border in Windsor, ON - there might be some hotels still available and the rates might be a bit more reasonable.  Not to mention the strippers are more "free and easy" in Canada!  ;D

Probably the biggest cruise around. The 2 weeks leading up to it are the best. The actual day is way to crowded with SUV's and minivans. It the place to be and everyone goes. I saw a whole lot of racing and cool rides the last few days. Royal Oak attempts to shut down their city at 10 but you can stay in Birmingham all night. It is quite a good time.

What happened to the trip to the Northwest?

Mike, I've already been there, and I'm in Michigan (staying about 5 mins from Woodward in fact).

Tried to reach you via the cell # I had from the last trip, but it was a work phone, and you've switched jobs.

Did get the see Dane and the yellow 'tona, but I guess he wasn't able to pass my contact info on to you.

I was only there for short time though.

Will more than likely be back later this year.

As for the reports about the Cruise, I've heard a lot of the same info.

Will be spending the next couple nights just hanging out with the camera.

Was told that after 1 am the street races start up, so that should be kinda cool.

Well, if anyone who is actually going to do the cruise reads this, I'd love to ride along, and I'll split gas costs. :2thumbs:

Howdy, Johnny.

Glad to hear from you, you've been gone a while. Did you end up getting that Imperial?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Another coulda/shoulda/woulda/didn't event for me.

My mom called asked if I was coming,  my friend emailed me and asked if I was coming and yet I'm still in NY.  Go figure   ::)

I brought my GTA out a few years back.  It's fuggin crazy.   Yeah,  and on Saturday the mini van idiots come out and plug up the road.   Then the cops try to shut it down at 9pm.

Friday night will be just nuts.  Enjoy.   Hope ya find a ride.   Bring camera batteries and extra chip or film (whichever).

Johnny,  I was out there last (Wednesday) night. I'll be going to Moparfest in New Hamburg, Ontario this weekend so i won't be out on Woodward. Sorry about that, but you'll have a great time hanging around.
Here is a pic of mine and my neighbors Charger from Woodward last night.

Looks like fun!!  I'll be there Friday and Saturday.  Mostly park and walk as it's very crowded on Saturday but plenty of cars too look at!!
Tomorrow is promised to NOBODY . . . .

I am going to head out tonight.  I am trying to get the springs re arched on the 71 Hemi Cuda Convertible.  Look for me.  It is tor red, white interior, with black billboard stripe.

I was out last night with the 72 Road Runner.  It was bumper to bumper traffic.  It was FUN!

We will be at the TAKATA party tomorrow.  It is held at Village Chrysler north of 13 mile road on the east side.  Look for the blue 72 runner, Cuda Convertible, and the 69 white road runner.

Sounds sweet, man! :2thumbs:

Ran into some fellow MoPar guys a couple days ago ("68 Hemi RR [with Taxi theme] & a "69 RR, both yellow), and when I went back by last night they invited me to park the rental car with them and check out the view from there.

I will most definitely keep an eye out for the 'Cuda tonight though.

Maybe I can talk you out of a ciruit or two.   ;) ;D

In a word... WOW!

What a blast Friday night was. :2thumbs:

Can't wait for Saturday.   :yesnod:

Some cool MoPar iron out.

Couple AFX racers (one was a Savoy with a bullet hole through its core support [quite the story there]), at least one (maybe two) Daytona(s), many E-bodies, a few RR's and GTXs, 3-4 1st gen Chargers (one Hemi), some 3rd gens (plus a super sweet "73) and of course a handful of 2nd gens.

Only one "70 Charger, but it was a super nice R/T.

Got some pix, but the digi is hell to get good results with once the sun goes down.

Will be bringing a full pack of batteries tomorrow though.

Kept looking for you, ChargerKid, but didn't see yah (I didn't show up till 8 pm though).

I'll be right near the corner of 14 Mile and Woodward tomorrow.

Right where the AFX Savoy and two yellow Roadrunners will be located.

Plus there's a custom International dumptruck at the end of the line you can't miss.

Look for the fat guy with the orange hat.   ;D
