I thought it might be kind of fun and maybe interesting to post pictures and facts of any previously owned Chargers to see if someone on this site owns them now.  I had a 68 and 66 Charger that I had to let go about 1990 due to a divorce and wonder where they are now.  I'll post photos and facts next week.  Maybe one of you owns them now and want to know a little history.  Who knows, maybe one of you owned the one I have now at some time in the past.

Thanx,
Bruce

Sad, but the last time I saw my first charger it was laid to rest a junkyard in Virginia back in '88 totalled.  :rotz:

But I went out and bought another less than a year later and still have it. ;)

My first 65' Coronet 500 was sold back in 86' or 87' to a younger guy. 15 or 16 years old then. We both lived in Rochester, New York back then. I started searching for it some years ago. The funny thing is, I moved to the Tampa Bay area in 94' and about a year ago I found her. I posted on about 5 or 6 sites that I was looking for a 65' Coronet 500 that had "THE OTHER WOMAN" painted on each quarter. I received an e-mail from a guy that knew the car and an e-mail address. I sent an e-mail hoping this time was going to be the real deal and about an hour later I got an e-mail back saying he remembered me and described my shop and where it was. How much he paid for it and the wopper of all times was not just that he still owns the car, but, he also lives in Florida now. My baby is just on the other coast..   One day I'll get over there to see her.. :yesnod:

I have a feeling a few of my old Chargers have met their maker. :icon_smile_dissapprove: ;)

You know, now that I think about it, I had some nice Chargers back in the day. :icon_smile_big:

I had a 68 Triple Green 318/Auto w/almost every option for that year. I had a 69' SE [I Think?] Green w/black top & Interior, 383 4bbl/Auto, and a 70' R/T 440/4-Speed/Dana, Triple Black :drool5:  Wish I still had all of them :bawling: :icon_smile_sad:

Well, I know where a few of my cars are.  The 69 Super Bee is buried.  I pushed it into my parents irrigation pond at the back of their farm 25 years ago and the pond has long since been filled in.  My 68 Road Runner still belongs to the guy I sold it to and he's a good friend so I see the car every now and then.  My 69 Charger I saw a week ago and it has been ruined to the point of being a pos.  It's basically junk.  Sad.  Just sad.
No idea where the rest went to.  I've tried to find my old AAR a few times but so far, no luck.  I had a 71 Challenger vert at one time but I'm pretty sure it got crushed.  There are a few more but I think they were also crushed years ago.

If there ever was an Ultimate Restoration Challenge, that would be it.  :yesnod:

If you ever get curious and decided to dig it up, I will fly all the way to wherever you're at just to see it happen. lol

lol.  It's in Canada, about an four from Detroit under about 15 foot of hard clay.  It spent around 17 years under the water and the last 8 under dirt.  I imagine it's mostly returned to it's original base elements by now. (I still have the fender tag though)

I have to ask, WHY ?

Because at the end of the 70's they were just old cars and they were dirt cheap.

It wasn't just me.  It was everyone up here in the rust belt.  Why do you think we all started going down south and buying cars out of the junkyards by the late 80's? :-\
It is very sad but it is the truth.

Here are photos of my old chargers(I hope).  The old photos did not scan very well.  The first is a 1968 R/T clone that had black paint with gold micro sequins that would make the paint flop from black to gold.  White interior, incorrect built 340 with a 727.  The car would have been sold out of Cheyenne Wyoming about 1991 or so.  Anyone out there have or seen this Charger?

Here is my other old Charger I am curious about.  1966 Green w/white interior in excellent condition.  Numbers matching 383 with 727.  As I recall, the car had about 60K original miles when I sold it.  It also would have been sold out of Cheyenne, WY.  Is it out there anywhere?
