Is that Bee butterscotch....or just a dark banana?

i think that was the original chrysler demo charger  , that was lent to the motoring press at the time . i believe that is un restored/ or was unrestored ,until a few years ago .
Feel free to post any relevant picture you think we all might like to see in the threads below!

I talked to Tim a few times at the show.He is a very nice guy! :yesnod:He even let me get behind the ropes to take pics of the cars!Paul was his "caretaker"of the cars that weekend, and he let me take pics as well.I was actually taliking to Tim the most about the GY9 Dark Gold Metallic Hemi  car that used to belong to his dad,if I remember correctly that was the car that got him infatuated with the 71's.He actually told me that his dad's old car is his favorite.
Throughout the weekend many of the hood were open! And on Thursday they were not roped off! :icon_smile_big:

Post some of those pics! If you can't post em email em to me.

I look at those pics and try to imagine myself at a dealership circa 1971, call me crazy but I would love to see and compare all of the window stickers and pretend I shopping for one.  :icon_smile_big:

Here's a picture of the King and one of Tim's Hemi 'Bee's...... I'm proud to say I'm the one that got these two together for a Dodge commercial..  :icon_smile_big:

PS: It COULD have been my '71 (Whitey), but the photo crew didn't want black or white cars.... So, I turned them onto this one.............

hey rtdave if you are still looking for pics of tim wellborns 71 hemi chargers email me at mikesbbody@hotmail.com i had quite a few taken and alot came out good i wont try to post them as there are too many but i could mail them to you on a cd if you like.
Also i want to say i got to talk to tim and he's a real gentleman just like it said in the magazines. It took 2 18 wheelers to get the chargers to the show he told me he was worried about a possible accident involving the trucks as the cars couldnt be replaced. (i think thet will be the last time 10 of his cars are at on show according to what tim told me anyway)
His car guy told me he needs 3 more and he will have 1 in every color i sure hope he completes that collection. Also i have read some comments re: why one person would want so many cars all i can say is i would do the same but since i cant im glad somebody else has. I just wish these people had a chance to talk to tim an i think the they their opinions would change I will always remmber him as nice, friendly guy who has a killer collection btw the hoods were open or closed depending on what day you were there.

I have a dumb question, and I am NOT trying to stir up anything with anyone....but in the 6th picture of Tims cars there is a dash emblem I have never seen on a 71 R/T.  The "arrows" to the left of the "Charger R/T" above the glove box, is this something that was factory installed.  The only reason I ask is because I have looked at a number of 71 R/Ts in my life, including survivors, and don't recall this emblem.  Anyone out there shed any light on this for me?  Just curious if anyone else has this emblem on their 71 r/t?

Goldfinger71

I don't have it on mine. But I can say that for many years that emblem has been there from the first pics I saw of the car a long time ago......No I have never seen another like it either, but has been  on the car it seems forever.
