well things at work had not ben the best really since last winter. boss always on me about things that were for the most part small , and i was getting out alot of work.he made it clear he wasnt satisfied, but he knew i was trying. then a month ago i broke my foot outside of work (atv riding). i tryed to work the first week an a half then the drs took me off work. so yeserday I went to the dr and they cleared me for 5 hrs a day the rest of this week, then 8. well i go in today an the boss tells me he has a new guy starting next monday and i shuld just load my tool boxes.. :flame: if i had known he was guna do that i woulda let the dr keep me out longer! so now its off to the unemployment line. looks like the duster may get a quick heart transplant and sent down the road (im not givin up the engine thats in it yet). the charger is paid for and will not be sacrificed no matter what, but i had debated doing this to the duster anyways. looks like i wont have a nice ride for the rest of summer, but will have plenty of time to work on the charger. i could find jobs around that would "cover" my expenses, but i think im guna hold out for a while for the right job
to make my day worse when unloading my tool box in my driveway i rolled it a bit to the side , having just re filled it. all the drawrs roll open an it dumps itself on the concrete. it bent in one drawr in the corner, poped the handle off another , and scratched the bottom corner of all 10! plus a sizeable scratch next to 1 . when i bought the box it was brand new, but i did get about $1000 off beacuase it was scratched and dented in shiping. it was still worth 1500 till this happened, and i was considering selling it . sometimes we just cant win, anyone wana kick me while im down?

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

Then put some cyonide in it and give it to your former boss.

Seriously though, sorry for your bad run lately. It is true that when it rains, it poors.

Those places don't care, it happens all the time. I was in a auto wreak and could not work, boss said take your time your job will still be here, then when I was ready to go back find out boss been fired and the new guy wanted no old workers back.

Hope you feel better soon, start looking soon for a job, you might get somewhere fast with that foot, not everybody has no feelings. And I hope your old boss gets what he deserves.

Charger_Fan

Sorry to hear about your slump, I hope things work out better for you soon.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

It will all work out, but sorry for your bad streak.  You're alive and things could be a lot worse.  Put it behind you and move on to bigger and better things.  Best of luck!!

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Don't see a kicking emoticon so the slap one will have to work!

Chin up............it can ALWAYS get worse. :-\

thanks for the good words guys.. i cant even call him an SOB , he knew what he neads and i dont fit that. he said he will give me a very + refrence, that i was always there and always did what he asked to the best of my ability.  I had worked there since i think it was end of sept, or oct. the first 4-5 months everything went ok, but i just dont have the experence level that he neaded to run the shop. I was basicly single handedly maintaining a fleet of like 20 mid and heavy trucks, 15 f-250s ,around 30 trailers and, about 20 small tractors and skid steers. none of it was "newer" equipment. in fact many would call alot of it "old junk" I did my best, those darnd fords got me in alot of trouble. i had limited experence on the old7.3, and none on the power stroke when i started. and i told him that when i started..hopefully my next job i wont be working on freekin fords..I have alot of experence working on forklifts and may get a job at one of the forklift dealers in the area. they are all 30 min away , but i do have a background in it. for now i have several plans of things i shuld have sold anyways, so i will do alot of "housecleaning" and do some cash work, otherwise taking the summer off until the right job comes along. unemployment pays me about half of what i was makin, but ill make it stretch.

Looks like its  only happy hour time at the bar from now on, hey maybe you could lose some weight anyways. Just watch your penny's and clip coupon's and buy stuff only on sale at the supermarket. Buy the Sunday paper, has lots of coupon's inside, and some store's double them, it adds up.

Having a plan is a good thing and if you can keep a fleet of Fords running you can fix anything.

I too am sorry to hear about your job loss & accident as well as the tool box damage. I too am having a bad month, make that a bad year!  :-\ I won't go into the details, but man, I feel ya, hard! I hope things get better & soon for all of us having a rough time. I have not had much hope here lately, but maybe there is some! If you got skills someone else will appreciate them in another job. Your leg will heal,& if I had a dollar for every time something broke this year I would not have to worry for a while!! Find some where who will appreciate your work skills & who will value you as a human being too! Take care!! Here is to hoping things get better! :pity:
