yeah  six pac's   r/t door scoope and pistol grips are the only great thing's on 70's

I like the seats and door panels aswell.

Ghoste

But for myself, the door scoops and interior door panels are two of the things I don't like about the 70 model.
I know it all comes down to individual taste and preference but it's still fun to talk about.

And with that said I prefer the 1970 as it has the best of both previous years of Charges and then it has the added bonus of having the better options and Lower production numbers.

Just curious, why do you consider lower production numbers to be a bonus? I guess I can see what you're saying, not so run-of-the-mill maybe? Still, compared to the number of '68-'70 Mustangs and Camaros all Charger owners can enjoy that bonus.

There's a reason the '68's are the favorite.  That's what I have now and had in 1968 and most people want to be just like me. :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod:  I'm also pretty sure that the quality control tanked after '68.  I've never seen a  '69 or '70 that had working side lights. :icon_smile_big: :rotz: :icon_smile_big: :rotz:  Bob

I bought my 69 440 R/T in 1973 for $1450. I had no clue what 440 or R/T meant. All I remember was the rear view of a 69 going
down the road was unforgettable! Its only competion was a 66 4-speed Vette.

I don't care that my 69 isn't a R/T or anything like that....I'm just really happy to own it because its the look I fell in love with when I was a little kid; the long taillights, the split grille....I loved everything about it when I was 6 and I still do. Yea sure, if I get another 69, I'll be wanting a R/T but who cares, I got my XP 69 right now and even though its not a R/T, IT STILL ROCKS!!!!!!  :2thumbs::Twocents: :icon_smile_big:

And you have the coolest color, bronze right?  Love that color.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

I like the 70 because the basic 2nd gen shape and the door scoops to make it look faster :P

Now thats interesting. IN 1969 I was 6 years old and I felt the same way. Allthough the car might have been a 68, I can remember walking up behind it, the big chrome gas cap at chest level really left an impression as I walked past it. So did the brunette with the long strait hair sitting in the driver seat when she turned her head and said hello as I went by.

That's it? You're only going to post one pic of this scene? That meets the Geneva Convention definition of torture, ya know.

1968 is my favorite year for the Charger.  I own a 66, and I love the car dearly.  It's my second favorite Charger, but I've loved the 68 since I was 5 years old.  Love the taillights and overall body style.

I like each year from '66 through '74 but if I had to pick one I pick 1966. It is by far the best year, hands down. Way more functional, built much better and has tons of standard items that were only optional on the other later years. After '66 each year they dropped things, and turned items optional, to make the car cheaper and more of a generic "anyone's car".

Oh yeah, and unlike the other years, first gens don't need R/T emblems to be cool.

Quick, somebody get this man medical attention.  :yesnod:

BTW, I have never seen a 68-70 Charger that needed R/T badges to make it look badass. The looks alone give it that. You do know there's a reason people can't give away their 66/67 Chargers....right?  :icon_smile_wink:

I'll take badass/ greatest muscle car ever built (68-70), over functionality, options, and whatever else you think the '66 has over it. Oh, just my  :Twocents::nana:
