I am working on my 68 Charger. I pulled out the heater box and need to test the blower motor. There is a green wire and a black wire. I'm assuming that if I hook the green wire to the pos. and the black wire to the neg. I can check to see if it works. Am I right? Or will I short it out? Do I need a fuse in there to test it?
I don't want to fry the motor.
Thanks!

I have seen all this. But until today, I have never seen such a pain in the ars car like this 68 Charger!

Yes, just hook it to a battery long enough to check it out. It's not like you're going to run it for 30 minutes. Even if you hook it up wrong it's just going to run backward. The only danger in testing one this way is getting smacked in the mouth when the thing jumps to life so maybe you could strap it down to a work bench or something.

hold it with both hands and have someone else touch the wires to power and ground. If your not prepared for the instant torque twist it gives when it takes off ,that blower wheel feels like a meat grinder against flesh and will hurt . TRUST ME
