I didn't see a thread on it anywhere, but there's a teaser in the news box (upper right of this screen).

Where's the pics?? ;D

Oh & congrats, Chris!

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

A few of our members took home plaques. Bill440RT was also a first place winner and also a Tim Wellborn celebrity pick. Spike, BattleHorse and hopefully a few others grabbed some wood...or whatever they make those things out of.

I did mentioned it on the Carlisle photo member post but did not post the picture cause somehow the picture came out blurry.  :rotz:

Also all the other cars were being stopped at a point past the post, but it figures that this shot the photographer signaled Chris to stopped the Charger a bit to early, thus the column in the way.

On a better note, the trophy girl was much better this year than last!!!   Especially when wet ;)

Like Chris said above, a few other members placed as well.   Bill was the "Mann" this year with the Tim Wellborn celebrity pick.   A well deserved honor.  For those that dont know, Tim Wellborn had 10 of his 21 or so '71 Hemi Chargers & Super Bee's in the T building this year.  For a guy that owns all those bad ass Chargers to pick your car out of the 2,500+ Mopars in attendance is pretty impressive.
Bill's wife Laurie should get most of the credit though........her horse hair paintbrush grill detailing put his car over the top!!! ;)

PS, Ron, that Alexander Keith's really did the trick!!

CONGRATS Chris!!!! Too bad for that damn rain, eh??  :flame:
Thanks to all who voted for us as well. I had a complete blast this weekend, rain or no rain during that ceremony. Ah well, the trophy girl DID make up for it. (Shhh, Laurie's not listening...)  :-X ;)   Who knows, if it wasn't for her detailing skills with that horse hair brush, where would I be??

I must admit, I was very surprised to get the Tim Wellborn celeb pick award. He was actually a VERY nice guy, & his wife, too. One of the reasons he picked my car was that I didn't try to sell it to him!!! He asked me if my '70 was my pride & joy, a keeper. I replied,"Yes, I don't think I could ever part with it." He said that's all he needed to hear. But, he did give me all THREE of his phone numbers, just in case I ever changed my mind!! I don't think I'll be calling him soon though, maybe just to thank him.

What a show. It'll be hard waiting another year for Carlisle '07. I hope we get to meet more of the members here!!!!

Mike, 2 things.
1. dont fill the rad all the way to the top....leave about 1" gap for expansion
2. make sure your rad cap doesnt have an upper rubber seal.  Just a brass ring.  The caps with the upper seal are made for vehicles that have an overflow bottle making it a "closed system"   All you need is the lower rubber seal that seals the lower part of the rad neck.

Nope, not the distributer either...turned out to be a bad plug. Guess I should have started there instead of half way up......funny thing is it would only start to break up after 3K, which made me think it wasn't plugs....Let that be a lesson boys, ALWAYS start at the beginning when troubleshooting.....next time I'll have more time to spend on shinin' instead of wrenchin'.
