So I am throwing a new rad hose on my 2000 Dakota sport. Deb starts the thing up after I am done and I am notice the A/C compressor pulley cycles off and on and when off, the belt just runs right over it?

Is that right?

I guess I haven't been paying attention.....

You're saying the compressor cycles on & off while the a/c switch on tha dash is in the off postion? Doesn't dound right to me.
If the switch on the dash is on the defrost position, that will cycle the compressor on some cars, but I don't think it should cycle on if the dash switch is turned off.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

As I recall, it did it all the time. I figured that this was to prevent the compressor from seizing up from months of non-use in the winter or something.

I just have never seen a belt travel over a pulley that is not moving. I would've thought it would've squealed as well.

Oh, and $42 for the radiator hose.

Can someone please explain to me what the benefit is of relocating the radiator cap to an inline position on the upper hose?

WTF is up with that?

Don't even get me started on those factory clamps either.
