They're gonna bring this old girl out of retirement. It actually has better wind tunnel numbers than the 2006 Charger. :D

I was gonna offer up my car...but the snack machine probably get's better aero numbers, LOL.


EDIT: actually, I don't think it'll be the Challenger....maybe the Caliber? I dunno...

Can they run a car in 2007 thats not in production until 2008? ???
I also wonder how (if they race it) they will over come that big wide grill opening.

Jayski's site says the car was taken to a wind tunnel today-new hood and rear- it was submitted by Dodge yesterday. (Maybe just a modified Charger?)

Maybe they are going to restyle the '06 so it looks like a Charger (or maybe just half decent) and run that.

that would be my guess, they will try and get that ugly ass nose more aerodynamic,and hopefully better looking

They might be trying to make it look better but I doubt they're trying to improve the aerodynamics.  The car of tommorow is a common car on the nose.  By that I mean that all the cars, Ford, Dodge, Chevy, have the exact same nose.  They will be allowed to put their own little grill section in but the noses are essentially the same.  I heard this on Nascar Performance.

They can put whatever name they want on the nose. If not next year then 2008 all the bodies will be the same with ChevroForDodge decals.

253862653214551121007 is right. The car of tommorrow will run 16 races next year and the full schedule the following year. All cars will be a common template with stickers to try and distinguish the difference between the makes. So at this point does it really matter what car is used?
