Funny thing is I've never even smoked weed, much less sell it. My dad worked for the Border Patrol for 17 years (and law enforcement in general for 48 years). If I ever did anything like that he would of shot me. Seriously, he might have actually shot me.


About getting rid of the weeds, is burning it an option? You could mow it all down and poor a crapload of weed killer all over it. It'll cost you some money for a lot of weed killer but it should get the job done.

Well good for you, I used to till I got "old" and got headaches and or a sore throat-it kept me away from drinking-now I don't use anything-beer,aspirin nothing. Now I wish I never smoked anything but I would be a beer drinker maybe.

Yeah in to "old days" 70's, people would pour gas on weeds and light it on fire-now of days the fire dept. will come out and charge you with something. But we have weed eaters now-still burning was easier.

Does bleach really work?  I have weeds in my driveway that drive me nuts!   I used Round-Up before, and they have come back again!

One way to kill weeds is to pour boiling water on them. No joke.

    Bleach works, but they will come back eventually, just is a lot cheaper though.   Use a pump sprayer, like for fertilizer, mix 50/50 with water should do it.  Only 75 cents a gallon.   Easy to put on.   But fill up the sprayer with soapy water and spray through hose each time you store it or the bleach with wreck it. 

    Clear oil based stain works, just spendy.

Roundup will kill weeds AND grass so if you are treating a lawn don't use roundup unless you want to re-seed the whole lot.  Boiling water does work, and of course it will also kill the grass.  The product you need to use to only kill weeds is based on 24D.  The stuff is labled as Ortho weed b gone or Bonide Lawn Weed Killer. You  can buy them as RTU's  (ready to use) or concentrates.  You will need a hose end sprayer or a pump sprayer to use the concentrate.  A pint size bottle is all you will need. DO NOT mix them stronger than recomended.  Any other L&G questions just ask. John

It all depends on what you want to do? Diesel fuel will kill all and keep it killed for a long time. But you can get into trouble doing it and the smell is around for a long time.

All the other methods of pouring certain things on stuff works but will eventually wear out and stuff will grow back.


If you are wanting to have nice grass and keep weeds down  then you need to mow it.  IN my field mowing business  I have several fields that were terrible overgrown with everything you can think of and after maintaining things  you knock down the high stuff and then the good grass's get the sunlight and grow. Before long you dont have the big weeds growing about but a nice knee high grass.  Once you get it down to a nice cut and keep it that way you can fertilize with a weed and feed type of stuff and promote the good grass's to grow while taking care of other plants we call "weeds"

You would have to boil a hole lot of water to kill almost a half acre of weeds!! 

Do you have a Tractor Supply Company near you? If so, they have some pretty good stuff that will take out everything or just the weeds. Just tell them what you have and what you want to get rid of.  A buddy of mine just cleaned out his back acre with stuff from there. He used a pump sprayer and did it in sections. It took a while to cover it all, but he has had it all cleaned out now for about 3 months...

sound to me like you need to decide  what the area is for before you go killin stuff
ie : be real careful with chemicals if you what to plant foodstuff or have kids near If is just weed clearance for more 'commercial use' then what ever is quickest

gas is over $3 here for regular, I dont think Id waste gas on weeds

Oh, the weeds are going to love that. You'll have a nice, strong crop of broadleaf in about a month if you don't plant some grass seed. Even then you'll be fighting them.

Im getting rid of all the weeds by raking them when they're loose out of ground. I probably will spray with some weed killer before I put more soil on top of that and level it out
