Rolled out the big BBQ and cooked up Tri-Tip, Hot Links, Hambergers and Hot Dogs. Then everybody brought the rest. Fresh fruit, cakes, pies. salads of all kinds, beans and all kinds of adult beverages. Some sodas for the kids too. Then after everybody was full. Sat down and watched about 2 hours of fire works. Everybody brought some with them. Even had some illeagle ones. But I live out in the country so no problems. Had a great time!!! I didn't even work that day! I staed in bed till noon! What a great day! My birthday is coming up I think I'll do it again only at the lake with my ski boat instead of fireworks.

First we went to the World Cultural Festival here in Nashville, where the wife and I were interviewed by the local TV station, then on to our favorite microbrewery, watched the Nashville Symphony during a terrific fireworks display on the riverfront, ran into a couple we haven't seen in years, went to the disco and danced the night away....pretty exciting time for an old man....woke up the next day with the "bad head" so work was not an option.

Worked in the morning, then got on the dirt bike for the first ride of the summer.  Finished it all off taking my little girls to go see the movie "Cars".  No fireworks here...to dry :icon_smile_sad:

I pretty much did nothing, and it was great.

Woke up at 10:00 am, cranked up the A/C, napped. Watched the Germany  vs.  Italy game at noon, then another nap. Went over to my mom's house for a mex-am style bbq - burgers and hotdogs and Carne Asada tacos. Then another nap. At about 8:45 pm headed over to watch some fireworks, then came back, ate some Ice Cream, and went to sleep.

Went to my cousins place by Wright Pat Air Force museum and watched fireworks with family, and had a few glasses of sour apple vodka. Two stealth's making laps around the base was cool and a F16 was doing some simulated shooting..small fireworks that appeared as gunshots. Then a nap and a little fire outside after the neighbors were asleep.

I went to work a 24 hour shift at 9AM.  My family came to visit me at work, so we fished (caught about 10striped bass and a smelt), bar-b-cued, watched 4 different fireworks shows at the same time (I work on a pier) and got paid time and a half.  It was a good day.

We go up to the lake every weekend so we took Monday off and spent 4 days up there.

Out on the boat, hanging out with friends, eating and drinking.

Watched the fireworks from the boat on Monday night.
