Dukes prequel in the works..

Well since the movie flopped Warner Brothers decided to do a straight to DVD prequel, The Dukes are teenagers, and shows how they get the general, etc. Sounds corny, but by the casting call looks like they are gonna make it more like the TV series, they hired another director to do this movie, and pretty much a cast of new faces, Willie Nelson is the only one from the movie cast making a return. Chris McDonald (played Shooter McGavin on Happy Gilmore) is Boss Hogg. It is not being filmed on location anywhere, like the big budget flop, they are staying In LA for filming. Shooting began June 12, and I think the DVD will be released in early 2007. I bet it will suck, but atleast the main star(s) is returning.......CHARGER!!

I hate when hollywood takes a good old show like that and turns it into a "Dumb" comedy. They did it with Starsky & Hutch too.

Notice Hollywood has not come out with any great new shows, back when I was young it was the A-Team, Dukes , even Beavis and Butthead. Those were great shows, now of days there is not one new show that I like. All hollywood can do is to try to copy the great shows. Even the Cartoons are a flop, Jetsons, Flintstones and a few others were good now what do we have ? Thank God we have the internet now or I would go nuts or just be a drunk.

At least Miami Vice is not going to be another spoof movie like the Dukes, Starsky and Hutch, and so many of the other good shows I liked when I was a kid. . .

The new movie is going to be raunchier than the last.

The General Lee's in this one will be regular General Lee's minus the confederate flag and text. The color and 01's on the side are the 'traditional' style rather than the 'pre-Cooter' style of the last movie. Atleast that is what I have seen so far. They could change it during the movie at some point.

Just goes to show that Hollyweird has very little when it comes to creativity.

Here's an idea make a DOH post sequel. Bo and Luke are fat old 50 year old beer bellied toothless hillbillies that get killed trying to jump a 1990 Chevy Baretta over an interstate while trying to out run a state trooper with a load of meth in the trunk. The show starts out showing them them getting out of the macon Georgia state pen after serving time for running from a traffic stop. They get fat drinking beer while sitting on the front porch of their trailer. The General Lee is sitting in back rusting into the ground and they deny every request to buy it and restore it because "their gonna fix her up some day" . Then they need to make some money for Daisy played by Cloris Leachman who has just had her 5th kid out of wedlock and needs some money. Bo and Luke steel a Chevy and try to make some extra money by selling meth and get busted by the cops and get killed by trying to out run the law. That will finally put the stupid DOH movies out of our misery

There that's an idea just as good as anything they make up now in Hollywood...........

I know this is a DOH post, but someone mentioned Miami Vice and yes the new movie comes to theaters August 06. We'll see! Meanwhile back on the farm!

73 Dodge --you should go to Hollywood, you make some great movies !!  Might change one or two things but you got the idea. Instead we get some BS story line how the dukes saved Hazzard so they can all drink beer and eat popcorn. Whatever happen to good small movie studios like Cupid who made Vanishing Point ?

     I kinda like this idea, but prefer em to be drivin a 85 caddy with bling wheels, feathers in there cowboy hats n big gold chains around there necks, being chased by the fuzz fer pimpin a cheap ho named daazeey. the meth dealings would be a side story.

Wow I just remember another great movie and guess what its about 25 years old. Bad Boys with Sean Penn , now if those guys could do a duke movie that would be great. I notice they never made a part 2, no, all Hollywood could do is make another movie called Bad Boys that had nothing to do with the old one.
