I noticed many 3rd generation Chargers that have been restored either frame off or on. The thing that puzzles me is where do they get brand new rubber fillers for around the front and back bumpers ???. Anyone know?

I dont know either but if you find out ask if they make them for 73 Road Runners!  i need one.

I have found some NOS Bumper fillers... but sorry men, thay are to 73/74 Coronets.

New Bumper fillers... no, probably they just painted. Still No repro available. Just if they are great survivors or owner was one lucky NOS buyer one. If that's the case I bet spent millions.

I got nice used ones that painted look like New.

Chargerkid is working on that

I figured they had there sources. I'm just pondering pulling the bumpers in closer and losing them all together. When a nice set is available it is very pricey.

you will need to find rear 71/72 bumper brackets to fit closer. Front ones will be fine just elongating the holes to frame if original elongated holes isn't enough.

I did one other charger by switching the mounting brackets. I prefer the close in look on the 71 &2 verses the 3 and 4.

I used to have 2 complete sets of NOS fillers for '73-'74.... I sold them around 2000 ish when I bought the '71 Super Bee.   I included them in the sale of my '73 Charger/parts.  In fact, I think the only reason the guy bought the car was for the fillers!  He got a good deal on the considering what he paid for the whole package... ::)

They are out there, somebody is just hoarding them - I betcha!

Gray... non aluminium or silver... just gray. A little bit darker than the grilles. don't know how it calls the correct gray in english.

New fillers are also a little bit shiny, so you can paint and then clearcoat. I found once a spray can with the exact color and it looks also hade some clear stuff... did look GREAT. Supposelly was chrome paint, but of course wasn't true. Was just gray with clear ( not even aluminium or silver ). I bought to taill lights housing on bulb area, but once I test it decided paint the bumper filler with that.

Needs to be touched oftenly to keep the same look, but works really great. Shame I have not found anymore the can brand and mine is almost empty. Never thought no one would import anymore.
