Has anyone had any experience with the quarter panels listed on e-bay that come from Oklahoma.  I bought the ones from the guy in Michigan and they were junk.  Wrong wheelwell shape etc.   Have been burned twice now on sheet metal for my 71.  Just looking for some guidance or suggestions.

Thanks

This quarter panel is from Year One.  Any comments??

My main concern is it states 71 -74 and 71-72 differ from 73-74 slightly, also the pic looks like a catolog pic i would ask to see a real pic of the panel. I got burned a 1/4's before also. Also year one lists lower 1/4 patch panels not sure if that's what he has. Hard to say.

I thought the only difference in the 1/4s was the marker light.  Are there other areas that are different?  My problem is the common rust on the lower part and a large dent that is behind the wheel and stretches all the way to the end of the panel.

71 and 72 share the body line and 73 and 74 share the body line which is different from 71 amd 72. There is a difference and as far as I know there are NO 71 panels out there.

I wish I had took a picture of a 3rd gen charger that had different years 1/4's on and the lines didnt match up.

I believe that the 71-2 1/4,s are flat on top at the ext( rear of car),and 73-4 turn up a little.I was told because of this the deck lids are different also.73-4 wheel lip I think are wider. This is all from just talking to people at swapmeets, so let me know if I'm wrong on this.

Yes you are wrong... deck lids are different just on cilinder area... I don't really remember which are, but the fact is the 71/72 cilinders are different, mounted and fixed with a spring clip similar to doors cilinders, for a while 73/74 are with a big nut.

However if you try to interchange deck lids they match perfect. Quarter extension height matches also with deck lid and even quarter on inner edge between all years, even is true than the outer curve never will match because the different body line.

71s deck lids also are different on inner frame but just because they have cut outs to wings.
