Center link got red hot one time-any harm done

Was thinking about my center link that I had out a few years ago while changing my header, I could not get the pitman arm off it and knew these guys who work at a muffler shop in good old Detroit. Took it down there thinking they take a air tool and get it off, instead one of them got it red hot and hit it out with a hammer. So I be worry about it? We did let it cool off slowly no water and it has been a few years now but could it be more likely to break one day or would you guys think it be fine?
