I was just wondering how chrome hood hinges would look without any other chrome under the hood? Does anyone have pictures? Would you install chrome hinges without chrome valve covers, air cleaner, etc.?

Shakey

I am not a fan of chrome hood hinges whether they were alone or with a ton of other chrome under the hood.

I think the hood hinges should be the same color as the body  :yesnod:

I don't think it would look "Stupid" but it would probably not "fit" right (the look of it).

Well, all other comments aside :icon_smile_blackeye:, I like them. My hinges were chrome when I bought the car- had been since the eighties. I was originally going to change them out but they grew on me. Now, I won't change them even though I have a perfect set of regular ones in the garage. Its nice to be a little different. Call me craaaaaazy. Now, where did I put that chrome cigarette lighter... ;)

I like the chrome.  Probably would look stupid if you had no other chrome under the hood but you could always add more chrome pieces later.  Pistolgrip's hinges look sweet.   :icon_smile_big:  A picture says a thousand words.

Body color hinges, chrome springs...best of both worlds    :icon_smile_big:

Unless your doing a by-the-numbers resto, I like them. I would have no problem putting them on my car. :2thumbs:

:scratchchin: That doesn't sound too shabby.

Mikesmopars01

That does sound good, body color and chrome together.  That would be different.

I think the chrome hinges look good, nice and clean look to them....but you would have to have some
other chrome on the engine to make it look right.

jackel440

I like em chrome.especially if you have some other bright work in the engine bay.I agree if there isn't anything else to go with them that might not look so good
