I recently finished restoring the standard taillights on my 71.  Does anyone know of a source for the taillight lense gaskets?  It wouldn't hurt to put new ones in while I'm at it.

Jim's your source! So you all know, I lent him my 71 R/T ,72 Ralley housings, stock 72 housings and front marker light housing, and he made gaskets for each and should have them available soon.
BTW, really great guy too!

Thanks for the compliments!

I just wanted to say that the http://www.detroitmuscletechnologies.com website is VERY new and i only have a couple place holder items on there now. Having a Mopar brethren take professional photos of my gaskets so they will look as great as they fit!

I have most body light gaskets for 69-74 Chargers. I have a 71 base model taillight coming to reverse engineer the gasket. All i need now is a 73-74 taillight to duplicate. I'm gonna try to touch base with a local guy to see if I can borrow one to duplicate.

Have a 68 taillight drawn up but can't do the molded rubber. May be able to laser cut material from flat stock and assemble like I do for some A body taillight gaskets.

Had 2 people that were gonna loan me 66-67 taillight to duplicate! Whew the white housing to body gasket has to be the longest Mopar gasket! John? US Car Tool? I know your busy but if you can find time to box that thing up I'd appreciate it :)

Questions?
Are the 73-74 base and SE taillight housing the same?

Are the 65 taillights the same as the 66 & 67 taillights?

Also are there any unusual gaskets on Chargers? Like hood callouts? Under louvers? Do the 71-74 Charger door handles use the black plastic anti-abrasion plastic gaskets like E body door handles.

Thanks in advance!

PS Thanks Bryan for loaning me the housings to reverse engineer!

Yes.  The only difference in the taillights is appearance (chrome trim) from standard to SE.  Physically they are the same parts and use the same gaskets.

Is not a trim, is just chrome finish over the stardart models parts, not an extra trim. Lenses and housings are the same with just the chrome finish difference. Only SE with extra trim is the 72 even gaskets are also the same.
