Is Mopar reproducing buildsheets?

well, while doing the un-install of my interior, I couldn't find my buildsheet ANYWHERE! I checked the usual places where y'all find yours: under the backseat, under the backseat's back, headliner, etc.; but it was nowhere to be found.

Did Chrysler quit doing this in the mid-'70's?

if so, are they remaking buildsheets for those who call and pay for it?

I don't think Chrysler would reproduce these, but you can download one on Moparts.com & print it yourself. There is also a member on Moparts that is catching a lot of well deserved crap, for having original blank ones that he sells for over $500 or $600 each, & will even "add" options to it. I don't have the link handy for the Moparts page, but it's not that hard to find.

I could see the use of having a reproduction made if the original was tattered and hard to read, but complete. If you don't have one at all, then you have to look at the car in its current state to 'make up' a sheet. How does one know for certain items were not added or deleted after the factory built it? Then there are other fields on the sheet you would just have to pull random numbers out of thin air. At this point the sheet is worthless as it does not document the original state of the car, which is where the value of the broadcast sheet lay. I can only see two reasons for having a sheet like this. Novelty and fraud.

in my case: novelty, since the car's not gonna end up like original at all, and since I don't plan to sell it.

Then just print one of the generator ones off you can find at Moparts. You can pretend it has all sorts of cool features and make it really whacked out.
