Is my fuel pump messed up?

I have a black Holley pump installed on the rear frame rail by the axle. and the pressure regulator is on the fire wall. When turning the power on to the pump it sounds pretty loud and the regulator on the fire wall is even louder than the pump. its like it is vibrating like crazy inside the regulator. OF course I cant hear it when the car is running because the flowmasters but it bothers me. What should I do? Thanks
