Been planning on going to the Wichita Area Mopar show for months.  Today rolls around and the weather is rainy and the threat of storms all day and into tonight. At 10am it was decided the 71 Charger wasnt leaving the garage. There wasnt many cars there and only 4 Chargers. I talked to my friend and it was decided that Frankie be called to duty!  I fire him up and back him out of the garage. Give him a fast garden hose wash and shine and off we go onto the highway for the 50 mile journey. As I hit the highway the clouds parted and sun shine down from the heavens! HAHAHA!  Had a good time. Weather cleared and not a drop of rain or storm for the entire show. If I had brought the 71 is would have been a bad storm for sure. They had a bad storm about 4 years ago and a lot of old cars got caught.

But the best part is Frankie scores his first win!!!!!HAHA!

 Congrats !!
beats the show I attended , it was cold windy & rained up until the time of the show , it did stay dry but it was not fun

   So Todd!    What are your future plans with Frankie?......Gonna leave him in primer all the rest of his life or are ya gonna give him a shinny coat to wear?    And if you do....what color? ,same wheels or different?, interior?

I really dont know what I am gonna do right now.  Thought about leaving him alone and build a big 440 for him.  But the other side I would like to restore him to all original.  Light creme yellow with a white vinyl top.  Hubcaps, points ignition,am radio, left handed lug nutz. Keep it all old school!  We had a baby girl in January so the time and $ isnt there anymore.  Maybe next life I can restore him!   :icon_smile_big:

    Thats exactly what My Dads Charger was when I was a kid....the light yellow with a white top,383-4brl with auto on the column and black interior with a buddy seat up front!   My cousin (Nick-a.k.a. 72_Rallye) and I have been looking for it for quite some time now with several dead ends.   

   If you ever come across such a car..........PLEASE....let me know!
