I'm painting my Roadrunner in two weeks, after the bodywork is done, what color should I paint it?  All choices are the body color first and then the factory 73 RR stripe cause I like it better than the 74 stripe.

Lime green with black stripe.

Baby blue with white stripe
6 (14.3%)
Grey with black stripe
4 (9.5%)
Metallic gold with black stripe

In case anyone was wondering it has a black and white interior.  Black carpet, headliner, dash and floor console, and the paneals and seats are white. ???

...first post.

WM23N1

White with a black or red stripe. I have a 74 RR that was originally red with black stripes. I may go with white and black when the time comes.

Lime green is my favourite colour, on Mopars and in real life, but I wouldn't paint a 73-74 RR in green simply because they didn't come that way. I hate seeing cars painted the wrong year of colour, just bugs me.

I think in regards to painting your car, the sharpest combo for that year is black with a red stripe (yes, the 73, the 74 is a little too Starsky and Hutch for me!). Have you thought about that scheme?

Since you are for sure going with the 71 stripe go with again i will say it ''PETTY BLUE''

volk68

Let me throw silver and black into the mix.  This is Silver Frost Metallic, a stock color for 74, and was my second choice for my 73:

volk68

Now that I have shown you my second choice, let me say that I highly recommend lime green.  However, on the 73-74 RR, I find that Sassy Grass Green is a little bit nicer looking than Sublime Green.  Both are great colors, but Sassy Grass on the late model RR's is beautiful :yesnod:

With the interior colors you have I would go with a white car and black stripe.

I think the 73-74 RR hood looks like an ant hill and would put a 6 pack scoop on the flat hood.

You are painting this car by popularity?Sorry but you can't please all the people, so just paint it how you like. Are people that desperate to be accepted?

Black with red stripe, black with red stripe, black with red stripe, black with red stripe...

You kinda lost me on the 71 stripe idea :rotz: That is not gonna look cool IMHO, but it's your car. The 73 stripe is very cool on those cars with the half 71/half Starsky & Hutch thing. Take a look at some more pics.
