I just relized I posted a tech question in the gen. area and after reading a couple of threads I realized that was a bad thing. So I think this is the wright area. I have a Stock 66 charger with 383 4bl with auto tran.  The old AVS is dead so I want to try and grab a little more hp so I was looking to upgrade the carb.  I will tell you guys I am learning as I go do to the fact funds are tight and well I just want to know how to do stuff on my ride.  I was looking at demon, eddelbrock thunder, or Holley street avenger.  I was getting ready to go with the holley when Yearone said it would not work and that I should use a eddelbrock thunder.  I called holley tech support and they told me with a few other parts it will work. yet in the street avenger install book it says not to use it with any chrysler auto trans. When I asked some mopar guys at a show there oppinion the said neither and go with the demon (side note I live in Ga and demons seem to be real popular here). But I have been told demons are great for track use but so so for street use. so I am so confused i don't know which way to go.

I have used the Avengers with auto trannys , you need a 20-7 carb linkage adapter , I believe you will need a 1/2 adapter for the 66 manifold though
I am in now way a fan of eddy carbs although the Thunder is the best of what they offer
Demons are good too , but I still prefer the Holley
Proform are extremely repsonsive & tunable also , right up there with the Holley
