I just added some photos from last night's show in Hartford.

I haven't been to the Garden State Arts Center in almost 20 years, but I went this past Friday to see Nine Inch Nails again. Now it's called The PNC Bank Arts Center, I guess they spent a lot to have their name on it. The last time I was there I had seen Santana put on a horrible show, & it was one of the few shows I ever walked out on. I had seen them before, like in 1979 & thought they were great, but not that night.

Anyway, this past Friday was a long night but well worth it, I just wish I had sprung for a hotel room instead of driving home to upstate NY. I liked the fact I got to hear more of the older material since I never had the chance to see them live until last year. The performance was incredible & full of energy, yet the entire crowd remained civilized & decent.

I had seats near the sound & lighting booth & wish I was a bit closer because I brought my 7 year old daughter, Kate along once again. She had a blast & tired herself out & fell asleep for a while, LOL. I only bought the 2 tickets because my wife planned on not going, but went at the last minute in hopes of getting a cheap ticket.

To both her surprise & mine, someone outside at the gate, "GAVE" her a free ticket just before NIN went on. Ironically, her seat was one section over, so we were all able to sit near each other. I wish I knew who it was who gave her the ticket so I could thank them, & maybe buy them a beer because I appreciated it quite a bit. She was not a NIN fan until last fall when I took her to the Philly show, but she does like them now.

There was also a couple of nice people who gave us their VIP passes at the end of the night, but I did get to thank them. We went to the small gathering at the VIP tent back stage & talked to a few others about the show who also had a good time. All I had was my camera phone, & wish I could have gotten some better photos, but at least my memory will keep a clearer picture.

My daughter had hoped Trent Reznor would show up for the VIP party, but only the guitarist did, Aaron North. I also think the keyboardist was there, Alessandro Cortini, but since I'm not a groupie, it could have been the janitor for all I know. :D  Here's some blurred & grainy pics if anyone cares to see. I'm going alone to see NIN on Tuesday in Hartford, CT & bringing my digital camera this time. Screw the cell phone cam.

It's hard to describe, but the light show was amazing! There was a screen made of metal tubes that were spaced about 6 inches apart. Almost like blinds that were lowered in front of the stage. With graphics on another screen behind the band, these lights made the images look 3 dimensional. No, I was not in an altered state, so yes, the image was real.  :D

Okay, I found some photos from the NIN website that someone with a real camera posted. You can see the screen in one shot & the same screen is lit up with the NIN logo. I hope I can get some better shots on Tuesday to do the lighting some justice.

And here's a link to someone's web page full of concert pics:

They played here last week and, from what I hear, the show was AMAZING.  I had a prior commitment so I couldn't go...too bad.  Apparently, they stopped the show halfway through because of a thunderstorm and Reznor walked out halfway through the storm and yelled "FUCK IT, I'M PLAYING!" and started the show again.  I also hate that I missed Bauhaus (WITH PETER MURPHY NO LESS) as they were opening.  They are one of my all-time favorite bands.
I ain't got time for pain, the only pain I got time for is the pain i put on fools how don't know what time it is.

Then you're gonna hate that I have a second row, center section seat for tonight in Hartford, CT to see them again with Bauhaus opening for them.  :D

Thanks.  :2thumbs:

Some bimbo called Peaches is the first act before Bauhaus. I found a link to a video & decided I wouldn't let my daughter see her, so we milled around at the souvenir stands until Bauhaus started last Friday. The show that Peaches does is equivalent to a stripper with some dancers wearing leather & vinyl with some sort of "strap-on" type costume wear. :D  One step beyond Madonna's lame attempt at a "talent" I suppose. I'm going alone tonight so I'll see what's up with all that.

I do have to be open minded you know.
