Rear Bumper brackets

I recently installed a 72 rear bumper on my 74. Of course it does not have the brackets for the filler. Will changing the mounting brackets to a 71 or 72 draw the bumper in closer so it looks nice? The bumper was a nicer than mine.

yes... in fact you are not the only one what have done that, or think on do it... you can use the 71/72 mounting brackets to get closer to body the bumper and save the gap for the fillers.
