What should I gap my 9.7:1 383 spark plugs at with the MSD dist, coil and 6al box?

Well MSD saids .050 maybe even .060 cause their box is so strong it can jump it, but Smokey Yunick said in his book Power Secrets that he knows of no reason to open the gap up that much. He recommends .035-.040 cause any bigger will increase the resistance in the system and encourage missfire and crossfire difficulties. He claims all of his testing never confirmed any power gains over .040. MSD wants you to buy all their stuff, dist. wires, wire selves - they don't care if you then get a missfire a few months later, they tell you to but more stuff. If you want more spark get a 7 or 8 series box.
