I have never met Mike but he bought gtx6970's (works next to me) Challenger this past winter, so we talk about him a lot at work (especially about the Hemi conversion).  I am sad for him and his family and I hope that he pulls through.  I am not a religous man by any means but I will pray for him and his family.

This absolutlely is horrid news. Last year he had gotten back enough strength in his legs to drive his new Purple Charger to the Charger.com meet.
I was hoping to see him completely out of the wheelchair this year.  Hopefully all the collective goodwill towards him from this board somehow helps.
Sorry Mike, thanks for the encouragement when I needed it.

Mike update 6/21  12.30AM
[/size][/b]

I just pulled in from my 8hr trip to see how Mike is doing.

As I was heading up the hill in the drive way, at the Hospital, I saw a guy and thought ''he looks a little like Mike''.
Well he was walking, and beat me up to the Hospital, anyway I talked to an employee down stairs and was told that
the ICU was three floors up. I got up to the floor went to the first Nurses station, and told her why I was there and
who I wanted to see. She sent me down to the end of the hall and told me I would need to call on the phone on the
wall that goes into that area. I was about 20ft away and saw the same guy there near the phone that I saw in the
parking lot, looking very sad. The Nurse came out and asked him again who he was there to see? he said Mike Groff  :yesnod:

I was right it was his brother, we talked for only 5-10min and the Nurse came out and said, yes, he could go in, but only
family members are able to go in at this time, well I was thinking that would be the case. So I told Mike's brother that
we are all thinking of him and hope for the best and told him about this website. I then gave him that ChargerRT patch
to take to Mikes room, he thought that was great, I asked him to try and send word to somebody that could get to this site
and keep us updated if he could.

He then told me in the last 24hrs the Doctors have seen somethings that were promising, and things looked better than
they had thought the first few days. His brother was very happy with this news, as are all of us. So I had to say goodbuy to
him but he wrote down this site, and was going to try and tell everybody there, we are all pulling for him, and try and update us.

So this is a little good news a least, he is by no means out of the woods yet, but if the Doctors admit things don't look as
bad as they thought the first two days.......... God willing he will come back to us   :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

If I hear anymore, I will post it here first, just about all of us know him to some degree, GO MIKE GO

Sorry for the long story, its been a long day, and I am a little thrilled that he is better than they first thought........

Thanks for the update Dan. Good news is better then no news as they say. I have always consitered Mike to be one of my favorite people on this board ever since I have joined. He always has something nice to say and has WAY more inner strength and will power then I do. I would love to meet Mike one day. Get better Mike!

As for you Dan, That was a great thing you did, and it was appreciated very much. A side note though, I might have just forgot or maybe I just never knew it, but until I started reading this post, I don't remember you being in a wheel chair. I was stunned to read that. I'm not looking to know how, but I just wanna say, I'm sorry about your misfortune. Hopefully you will come out of the chair too soon.

Dan,

First of all thanks for all the effort to get us this news.  I haven't posted on this thread yet because I really don't know what to say but have been reading it and waiting for some news.  Mike and his family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Again thanks

I just went through this with my nephew, slipped into a coma and passed away. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family, miracles do happen! Hopefully all will be good as he improves.

One of my distant relatives choked on some food and was in a comma for 2 weeks, then she died. You just never know when these things happen.
