Where is it ok to use teflon tape?

I forget but it seems like you are not supposed to use teflon tape on the fuel system is this right?  The reason I ask is my transmission cooling lines are as tight as possible, but I just cant remember if I can use teflon tape on it or the cooling system for that matter.

teflon tape can be used anywhere as long as you do not cover the first thread or so to keep it out of the system , tranny lines should be double flared & do not use the threads to seal so tape will make no difference
